So how did Southern Vermont Signworks get started? Well the answer lies years ago in the state of Pennsylvania where lifelong artist and master craftsman Frank Crane was raised. After winning a Sesame Street national drawing contest at age six I have never looked back. Art just came natural to me. Many drawings, paintings, sculptures, signs and layouts later I achieved a degree in graphic design in 1992 from Drexel University. It was time to put all I have learned to use, so it was off to the green mountains of Southern Vermont to set up a sign business. And here we are ten years later still making signs. I say we because Vermont is also where I met and married my wife Melissa, the other half of Southern Vermont Signworks.

We are often asked "How did you get into the sign business?" or "What brought you to Vermont?" The answers are quite similar. We love the beauty of Vermont and we love to make beautiful signs. It has really provided personal satisfaction to us to know that our signs have brought so much joy to people all over the world. To give others a little piece of Vermont to remember forever makes this business all the more rewarding. As long as there are homes and businesses that need unique, quality hand crafted signs, we will be on the job. We have been at it for over 15 years and plan on continuing for a long time to come.
